Veil Preparation and Care Recommendations
In conjunction with having a well-made veil, prior preparation is essential to ensure comfort at your bridal event or wedding ceremony.
GARMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend to 'dry clean only' and 'do not iron' your veil.
Each veil goes through a quality control checklist prior to dispatch, all lace is pressed, and the veil is steamed, however once you have taken it out of the box another steam is necessary.
Only dry clean the veil after the event if absolutely necessary.
Allow your veil to hang freely for at least 24 hours before your event and steam it thoroughly, removing any creasing. Our premium tulle is selected for its smooth texture and resistance to deep crease compared to other tulle on the market, easing the steaming process.
ENSURE THE VEIL IS SECURE
Prior to your event, consider a hair trial with your hairdresser to ensure your veil feels intact and that there is a plan in place for securing the veil. The veils are hand stitched on a strong rhodium 20-toothed comb, anchoring the veil well into the hair.
STORING THE VEIL
To store your veil before your event, allow to hang freely to reduce creasing and prevent draping on the floor, and place it in a garment bag for protection. This method ensures your veil travels well to your event.
CEREMONY
Consider wind direction and discuss with your celebrant prior about switching sides with your significant other, so your veil blows away instead of in front of you. Your celebrant will be able to add this small gesture into their notes on the day.
Request assistance from your maid of honour or someone who will be close to you on the day to maintain the veil train and ensure your veil remains presentable during the ceremony.
VEIL LENGTH CONSIDERATION
Explore our bachelorette collection for events like the bridal shower, hens party, or the reception, consider choosing a shorter veil, or switch to one after the ceremony, so you can move about your event with ease whilst still having your veil moment. Perfect for dining or hitting up the dance floor.
